The Junior Mechanical Designer will have the opportunity to be involved in cutting edge technology from conception to product launch. The successful candidate will support in the design, analysis, and qualification of various components and assemblies for our diverse customer base.


Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist new development activities
  • Create designs and drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using Solid Works CAD software
  • Support definition of product test requirements and support test execution in onsite R&D lab
  • Help product hand off to manufacturing and in-field implementation, throughout Canada and the USA
  • Participate in initial and ongoing design and technical reviews
  • Assist in managing drawing database
  • Other engineering-related activities, as required


 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education: Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma from a recognized university or college
  • Possess creativity for product development
  • Computer knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Solid Works or similar CAD software
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with customers and multiple-disciplinary teams
  • An energetic, diligent work ethic and able to work with little supervision
  • Able to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally, as required
