I was very impressed with your signs when I first saw them. They stand out in day and dim light situations. The signs are made with heavy-duty quality materials and the fact that you incorporated LED lighting makes it stand out over any other competitor’s products that I have seen.  I definitely would recommend your product to others.

We purchased one full set on a single bus. After experiencing the install and seeing the results, we decided to have First Light products added into the spec’s for all of our new bus purchases. Then I went to work on retrofitting the remainder of the fleet. I am proud to say that our district approved the purchase of all First Light products for our entire fleet. I am even more excited for the new reflective and illuminated signs. This means that in a case where power is lost, you are in no less of a situation than you were before we had First Light products. The most impactful product I’ve seen in my 19 years on the outside of the bus.

What we’ve learned since installing these signs is that they are definitely brighter in low light conditions and even local law enforcement has commented on how much more visible the school bus is.

With a fleet of nearly 1K school buses, we have several early morning routes. With the crazy weather in the South, First Light Safety Products solutions help ensure a safer ride for our kids. We will be adding these solutions to our new bus orders and equipping all our early morning routes.

When we switched over to the FISA, the drivers noticed an immediate stopping of stop-arm violations. Before the FISA we used to have 2-3 stop-arm violations a week in the early mornings, now we are having none.

The clarity of the signs is remarkable. There is no doubt that you are coming up on a School Bus now, no matter what the weather conditions.

We’ve been real happy with the signs. We had an issue with one of the buses and the customer service came through and did a good job. I really like the new signs even better than the old(?) signs because the illuminated material and reflective tape working in unison. If you did have a sign that actually went out and lost illumination because of the background and the reflective tape, you could still run those buses, you wouldn’t have to take them out of service. From an engineering standpoint I thought that was a major improvement.  

As far as working with us and getting us a new (replacement) sign, we’ve been happy with that. We’ve been real happy with First Light Safety. I think it’s a good product you have a lot of people working there and we’ve been happy with our customer service.  

We’re the only school system in the state that has these signs. Whenever we go somewhere people always ask us about it. When we met with the state during the summer for some of the spec committee stuff, everyone raved(?) about our buses and the signage. I know Ward International that sells buses here locally, they’re based out of Mobil, they’re working with you guys. Whenever we order new buses, they come standard now and they have the ability to do that for any school system in Alabama. I think that Blue Bird also has the same ability now. I think you’re going to start seeing yourselves in Alabama really take off based on having these on our school buses. It’s a great advertisement for you. We’re a great testimonial because whenever we see somebody, and they ask about it we say that it’s probably the best thing they’ve done with school buses probably in 30 or 40 years.
